The short version: Heart of Care is a small sanctuary tended by one human (Briana F. Harden, CPS-MH, CPRS Apprentice, PBT). I collect the minimum information needed to send you what you asked for, to fulfill orders, and to keep the porch lights on. I don't sell your data, I don't run ad networks, and I'll never share your story without permission.
Who runs this place

What I collect, and why
- Email address — when you join the porch letters, download a free resource, take a quiz, or buy something. I use it to send what you asked for and the occasional gentle note.
- Name (optional) — so I can greet you by name instead of "friend."
- Quiz answers — your Wellness Compass and Which Character results, so you can revisit them and so I can improve the tools.
- Order details — name, shipping address, items purchased — when you buy from the shop. Payment info is handled by Stripe; I never see your card number.
- Stories you submit — only what you choose to share. Nothing is published without your consent.
- Basic analytics — page views and visit counts, to know what's helping. No third-party ad tracking.
What I don't do
- I don't sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.
- I don't run third-party advertising networks on this site.
- I don't share your story or quiz results with anyone without explicit permission.
- I don't store payment card numbers on this site.
Tools that help me run the sanctuary
A few trusted partners handle parts of the work:
- Stripe — shop checkout and payment processing.
- Lovable Cloud — secure hosting, database, and email delivery.
- Facebook & Instagram — community spaces (only if you click out to them).
Each has its own privacy policy. I only share what's needed to do the job at hand.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Unsubscribe from emails (every email has a link, or use the unsubscribe page).
- Ask me what information I have about you.
- Ask me to delete your account, your quiz results, or any story you submitted.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
Email me through the Contact page and I'll respond within 7 days.
Children
Heart of Care isn't intended for children under 13. I don't knowingly collect their information.
Cookies & honest analytics
The site uses minimal cookies to remember things like your cart and login session. Analytics counts page views in aggregate — never tied to individual people for advertising.
Changes
If this policy changes meaningfully, I'll update the date at the top and announce it in the next porch letter so you're never surprised.
